Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to support safe, preventive maintenance and repairs at solar PV facilities, including inverters and medium-voltage equipment. You will learn continually while ensuring production reliability and a strong safety culture on site.

This field-based role requires travel to customer sites across the United States, on-call rotations, and a commitment to training and professional growth within ACTivate Technician Track.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of field experience in solar/electrical or related trades.
• QEW sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification or within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel ~20%.
• Willingness to be on-call during off-shift hours and weekends.
• FAA Part 107 certification and ACT High Voltage/Medium Voltage training completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Assist preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting and tracker inspections.
• Conduct vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly checks.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy and ACT SharePoint; maintain reports.
• Dispatch and remediation efforts on repairs under 50V.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, meters and stock.
• Attend training and participate in safety programs.
