Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Field Service Technician to perform safe, productive on-site maintenance of commercial and utility-scale solar plants. You will assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production.

The role is field-based, often on customer sites, with travel across the United States as needed. The position supports the ACTivate Technician Track under supervision, requiring safety competency, technical growth, and adherence to company

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or a related technical trade.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do.
• Assist in and support routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities, including inverter maintenance and repairs.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting and tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly inspections.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices, with continuing education as assigned.
• Perform basic electrical testing under supervision.
• Maintain company property such as vehicles, tools, meters, and stock.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint.
