Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on solar plants. This full-time on-site role is located at a jobsite in Shelbyville, NC, with potential to transition to a permanent position.

Training will be provided, and duties include safe work practices and equipment servicing under supervision. You will work on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform basic testing and troubleshooting, and respond to on-call requests for emergency

Qualifications

• Safety training and following procedures are essential.
• Mechanical and electrical concepts should be understood.
• Basic testing equipment usage is required.
• Lock Out/Tag Out procedures must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety as the top priority and follow safe practices.
• Work safely and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company tools and equipment.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Be on call to support emergency repairs as directed.
