Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry. This full-time, on-site role is based at Coulterville, IL, with potential travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.

You will support maintenance of solar plants under supervision and grow with a safety‑driven team. The position requires a high school diploma/GED, basic electrical mechanics knowledge, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training a plus.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification and stay current.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe work practices on site.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
