Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on a Coulterville, IL site. The role emphasizes safety, basic testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with EPC management for improvements.

This full-time position offers hands-on training and travel opportunities as needed. The candidate should have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and basic mechanical/electrical skills, with the ability to work on-site in varied weather and to follow both

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to identify and perform Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts.
• Understanding of solar installation basics and testing equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
