Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Field Technician to perform maintenance and operation tasks on utility-scale PV plants in Aulander, NC. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA, assist with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting, and repair AC/DC systems as needed.

The role requires 2+ years in a related field, familiarity with electrical safety, CMMS, and strong communication skills in English. Travel to sites may be required, with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems.
• Perform electrical maintenance tasks on inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear and metering systems.
• Document work orders, follow safety procedures, and ensure compliance with JHA and LOTO protocols.
• Assist with planning on-site projects, installations, commissioning, quality inspections and performance testing.
