Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician II to perform maintenance and diagnostics at our solar plants. You will use SCADA, Maximo, and SAP for daily tasks, repair equipment, update documentation, and manage on-site reports.

The role requires on-site work, field travel, and adherence to safety protocols. The candidate should have a minimum high school diploma and 2 years of relevant experience, with the ability to work outdoors in all weather and be available for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience at solar generation sites, wind generation sites, manufacturing or mining operations, or controls & industrial maintenance.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the site and be available for on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations in qualified areas with safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate high voltage switching with utilities and ISOs, including substation operations, lockouts and grounding.
• Work independently or in a crew to complete tasks across solar plant systems.
• Use SCADA and other digital tools for monitoring and diagnostics; employ test equipment such as meggers and IV curve testers.
• Travel to various sites to support maintenance and operational needs.
