Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to support safe, productive day-to-day on-site operations of solar PV plants. You will help with preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production at customer sites nationwide.

Based in the field, you will work from customer sites with travel up to 20% and on-call duties. The role requires OSHA 10, QEW, and HV/MV training progress, plus a commitment to safety and accurate reporting using Fiix,

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or related technical trades

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do
• Assist in preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections
• Apply fundamental knowledge of NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices
• Perform basic electrical testing under supervision
• Maintain service reports, inspection documentation, and spare parts inventory
• Initiate warranty claims with equipment vendors/OEMs as needed
• Identify safety hazards and take action to remove hazards
• Attend maintenance and technical writing training as assigned
