Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to join our site-based field operations across U.S. locations. The role emphasizes safety, practical maintenance on solar equipment, and learning to follow industry best practices under supervision.

Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma, basic knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and good communication skills. You may be asked to travel up to 10% and be available for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of testing equipment and procedures.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and Lock Out/Tag Out rules.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred or obtainable.
• Clear verbal and written English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
• On-call availability as required by operations.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safe practices.
• Work safely and seek guidance when tasks are unfamiliar.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tools.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvement and new technologies with EPC teams.
