Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to ensure safe, productive onsite operations of Commercial and Utility Scale solar PV plants. You will assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, while learning through the Technician Track under supervision of senior staff.

The role requires field work, is site-based, and may involve travel around the United States. Candidates should have a background in solar or related trades, with necessary electrical

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of field experience in solar or related trades.
• QEW sign-off or ability to obtain onboarding.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification.
• Ability to read drawings: identify fuses, breakers, switches, power sources and BoS equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly inspections.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint; maintain reports and inventory.
