Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Field Service Technician to oversee safe, productive on-site operations at Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production while staying compliant with safety standards.

This field-based role requires travel to customer sites, working extended hours, and on-call weekends. You will support maintenance on modules, trackers, inverters, and medium-voltage equipment while

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or a related trade.
• QEW sign-off, or ability to obtain within onboarding.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings including identification of BoS equipment.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel ~20%.
• FAA Part 107 certification and ACT High Voltage/Medium Voltage training completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in every task.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of solar facilities.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly checks.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint.
• Log vehicle inspections on time and initiate warranty claims with vendors.
