SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to join our Abbott, TX site. You will perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry, with on-site training and supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on equipment service, basic testing and repair of solar components, and on-call availability. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic technical skills, and a willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Mechanical/electrical fundamentals and safe work practices.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Knowledge of solar installations is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Proficient with basic computer operations.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for training/site coverage.

Responsabilités

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safe practices.
• Operate and care for company equipment, tooling and property.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call for emergency repairs as directed.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
