Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices within the solar industry. This permanent, site-based role requires relocation to a U.S. location and may involve on-call duties.

You will work at solar plants under supervision, performing testing, troubleshooting and routine maintenance, while adhering to safety and quality procedures and coordinating with EPC management for improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment through training or experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out on energized parts/systems.
• Basic knowledge of solar installations/plants and testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification and stay current on safety trainings.
• Excellent English communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training/site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety as the top priority and ensure compliance with safe practices.
• Perform work safely and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare accurate work documents and reports.
• Assist with process improvements and coordinate with EPC management on implementation.
• Support a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
