Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician Level 1 for Abbott, TX, on-site full-time. You will perform field maintenance, learn safe work practices, and assist in solar plant equipment testing under supervision.

The role requires traveling to remote locations, on-call availability, and a commitment to safety and quality. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical environments or similar training.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of testing equipment and solar plant basics.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; strong safety focus.
• Active driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Complete documentation and reports of work performed.
• Support process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
