Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for full-time work on a jobsite in McCamey, TX. The role emphasizes safety, basic electrical and mechanical tasks, and learning to perform maintenance on solar equipment across plants under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in mechanical/electrical environment through training or experience.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant.
• Proficiency with testing equipment and basic computer operations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure safe practices are followed at all times.
• Operate and care for company property and tools.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance using monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call for emergency repairs as directed.
• Prepare accurate work reports and documentation.
• Support process improvements and new technologies with EPC teams.
