Job summary

ACT Power Services, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to support preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs at Commercial and Utility-Scale solar PV plants. You will operate primarily at customer sites, travel to multiple locations as needed, and uphold strict safety standards while contributing to a reliable clean energy future.

The role entails field-based work, equipment inspections, data logging, and collaboration with senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, including fuses, breakers, switches, power sources, and major BoS equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel ~20% with on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly checks.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint; maintain reports and documentation.
• Initiate warranty claims with equipment vendors/OEMs as needed.
