Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to support preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at commercial and utility-scale solar PV sites. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on electrical work, and field-based operations across multiple sites in the United States.

You will perform inspections, basic electrical testing, and coordinate with vendors while maintaining service reports and inventory.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of field experience in solar, electrical, or technical trade
• QEW sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding
• OSHA 10 General Industry or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Ability to read/interp drawings and identify BoS equipment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Uphold high safety standards in all tasks
• Assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint
