Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full-time role on a Wharton County, TX jobsite. You will perform field maintenance, learn safe work practices, and support solar plants under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating tools, testing equipment, and documenting work while traveling to sites as needed. Training and safety certifications required, with on-call duties possible.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to operate in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Must follow safety procedures and lock-out/tag-out practices.
• Strong communication and documentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
• Perform field maintenance and basic solar equipment testing under supervision.
• Operate company equipment and handle tools properly.
• Support solar plants as needed and participate in on-site repairs.
• Prepare accurate work reports and document activities.
• Assist in process improvements and relay feedback to management.
