Job summary

SOLV Energy in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a permanent, site-based role with no travel requirements. You will perform field maintenance on solar equipment under supervision and learn safe work practices essential to the solar industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; Vocational/Technical School training a plus
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude demonstrated through training or work experience
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Understanding of solar installation/plant basics
• Proficiency with testing equipment
• Effective verbal and written English communication

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe practices on site
• Operate and care for company property and tooling
• Service solar equipment across plants under supervision
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of solar equipment
• Replace or repair parts under supervision
• Respond on-call for emergency repairs
• Prepare reports of work performed
• Assist EPC management with process improvements
