Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance at site locations across the United States. This permanent, full-time role is based at specific sites with no travel assignments; relocation expenses are not covered.

You will service solar equipment under supervision, follow safe work practices, operate tools, document work, and participate in ongoing safety and training programs. An on‑call schedule and up to 10% travel for training may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment with supervision.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures and safety training.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
• Fluent English communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure safe practices in all tasks.
• Operate and maintain company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of solar systems.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Be on‑call as directed for emergency repairs.
• Document work performed and prepare required reports.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
