Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry.

The role is full-time at a jobsite in Broad Brook, CT, with potential transition from contingent to permanent status during the interview process. Responsibilities include servicing solar equipment across plants under supervision, performing basic testing and maintenance, and providing accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Safety is the top priority and all employees follow safe practices.
• Ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment with formal training or prior experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for energized parts/systems.
• Familiarity with solar installations/plants and testing equipment.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work safely under all circumstances and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call to assist in emergency equipment repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Coordinate with EPC management on improvements.
