Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry.

This is a permanent site-based, full-time position located at specific sites nationwide; relocation expenses are not provided. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, servicing solar equipment, basic testing, and on-call support as directed by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated ability to work in mechanical/electrical environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.
• Familiarity with solar installations/plants and testing equipment.
• Proficient with basic computer operations and written/signed reports.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred and staying current.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Work safely and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate company equipment and tooling with care.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar components under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Document work performed accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
