Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) for a full-time on-site role at Broad Brook, CT. The position begins as a contingent assignment with potential to transition to permanent, performing field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include safety-first field operations, equipment testing and repair, and documenting work via the Sprocket system. On-call duties and training of junior technicians are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certifications required.
• Able to identify energized/de-energized parts and safely de-energize.
• Experience with electrical testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair solar equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work and track time/materials; create tickets end-to-end.
• Operate system monitoring tools and report issues via monitoring platforms.
• Ensure safety and proper use of PPE; on-call support at facilities.
• Supervise and train Solar Technician Level I staff; provide updates to EPC management.
