Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) for full-time work on a McCamey, TX jobsite. You will perform field maintenance, troubleshoot PV systems, and support Solar Technician Level I under safety-first operations.

Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA/NFPA safety standards are essential. duties include safety leadership, ticketing in Sprocket, and on-call coverage while documenting work and coordinating with EPC management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; vocational/training a plus.
Ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
Identify energized and de-energized electrical parts; safely de-energize sources before working.
Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment understanding.
Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Ability to operate system monitoring applications and follow instructions.
Active OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70e training.
Willingness to work on call and at remote locations in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

Perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities with minimal supervision.
Operate service equipment safely and maintain records related to equipment and systems.
Create tickets from start to completion; track time and materials in Sprocket.
Provide on-call service at assigned solar facilities and coordinate with team.
Supervise and train Solar Technician Level I employees as needed.
Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed.
