Job summary

New Energy Equity is hiring a Field Service Technician II – Solar in El Paso, TX. The role is on-site and outdoors, performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on solar and energy storage systems at sites around El Paso.

You’ll operate safely in high-voltage environments, mentor junior technicians, and advance toward Technician III through a defined pathway. Local relocation within commuting distance is required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of hands-on technical work in any industry.
• Strong electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work outdoors on solar sites and perform field tasks.
• Willing to relocate to El Paso or live within commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and system troubleshooting on solar installations.
• Operate safely in high-voltage environments without direct supervision.
• Guide junior technicians on site and progress along a defined pathway toward Technician III.
• Carry out diagnostics and report findings with clear documentation.
