Job summary

New Energy Equity in Faribault, MN is hiring a Field Service Technician II – Solar to perform in-person, on-site inspections, preventative maintenance, and system troubleshooting at solar sites in and around Faribault.

You will operate safely in high-voltage environments, guide junior technicians, and progress toward Technician III along a defined development path, with opportunities to learn I/V tracing, infrared thermography, and drone inspections.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on technical work in any industry.
• Solid electrical fundamentals and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel locally to Faribault-area sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety practices and proper PPE selection in the field.
• Perform electrical and mechanical inspections of solar systems.
• diagnose and troubleshoot site issues independently.
• Create clear reports and recommendations for the team.
