Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Field Service Technician II – Solar to perform in-person inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting at solar sites around Roseville, MN. You will work independently in high-voltage environments, guide junior technicians, and progress along a defined development path toward Technician III.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on technical work, strong electrical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to travel within the territory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical work in any industry.
• Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals (AC/DC).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused field inspections and maintenance of solar systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on high-voltage equipment.
• Diagnose issues and document findings with clear reports.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and guide on-site teammates.
• Maintain records and uphold safety and quality standards.
