Job summary

New Energy Equity seeks a Field Service Technician II – Solar to perform advanced inspections, preventive maintenance, and system troubleshooting on solar sites around St. Louis. You’ll work independently, guide junior technicians on site, and advance along a defined technician pathway.

Requirements include 2+ years of hands-on technical work, strong electrical and diagnostic skills, and willingness to travel locally. On-site work with a strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years hands-on technical work in any industry.
• Strong electrical fundamentals and safe work practices.
• Able to read electrical schematics or engineering drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety in the field and wear required PPE.
• Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical inspections of solar systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot field equipment independently.
• Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs clearly.
• Mentor junior technicians and share knowledge on site.
