Job summary

RES is hiring a Field Service Technician II in Texas to support senior technicians and mentor juniors. You will operate and maintain solar sites, including panels, trackers, and power inverters, performing preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.

You will troubleshoot both low voltage DC/AC systems, follow safety and LOTO procedures, and coordinate with stakeholders. The role requires travel 5–15% and being available for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of related electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to reside within 60 miles of the work site and travel 5–15%.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 and FAA Part 107 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior Field Service Technicians and lead junior technicians.
• Maintain solar facilities: panels, trackers, inverters.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AC and DC systems.
• Respond to emergency calls within 1.5 hours.
• Interface with owners, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
