Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Engineer to assist in the administrative and technical management of large utility-scale solar projects nationwide. You will support the Electrical Assistant and Project Manager across contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and field execution.

The role emphasizes collaboration with owners, A/E teams, and subcontractors, requiring strong communication, safety awareness, and cost-tracking abilities. High travel nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Proficiency with construction project management applications is essential.
• Basic finance skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project startup: review owner contract, startup checklist, site utilization plan, mobilization, subcontractor & vendor selection, milestones, and scheduling.
• Expedite materials: develop submittal log, fabrication & delivery schedule, verify fabrication status.
• Coordinate construction activities with Superintendent, conduct pre-construction meetings, maintain logs, participate in schedule updates, and ensure safety compliance.
• Facilitate project administration: manage RFI process, prepare meeting minutes, maintain jobsite files, and generate correspondence.
• Track project costs: process pay requests, track owner payments, and update labor cost reports.
• Support management for change orders: create change requests, assess scope changes, determine schedule impacts, negotiate costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
