Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Engineer to support large utility-scale solar projects nationwide. The role collaborates with the Electrical Assistant and Project Manager on contract administration, submittals, procurement, and scheduling, while maintaining safety and quality across sites.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in construction management or related field, solar internship or project engineer experience, and strong communication, computer, and basic finance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
• 6 months to 1 year Solar internship or project engineer experience in construction.
• Strong computer skills with project management applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; interface with owners, A/E teams, and agencies.
• Basic finance skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates project start-up: startup checklist, mobilization, schedule development.
• Expedites materials: submittal log, fabrication/delivery schedule, material status.
• Coordinates construction activities: pre-con meetings, schedule updates, QC inspections.
• Facilitates project administration: RFI process, meetings, correspondence.
• Tracks project costs: pay requests, owner payments, cost reporting.
• Supports change order process: create requests, evaluate impacts, pricing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
