Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Engineer to support large utility-scale solar projects across multiple states. The role involves assisting the Electrical Assistant and Project Manager in administrative and technical management, including contracts, submittals, procurement and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
• Six months to one-year Solar internship or project engineer experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction project management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with owners and teams.
• Basic finance skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates startup activities: reviews owner contract, startup checklist, site utilization plan, mobilization, subcontractor & vendor selection, milestones, Prolog setup and construction schedule.
• Expedites materials: develops submittal log, fabrication & delivery schedule, confirms deliveries, reviews submittal/SD, coordination drawings, and stores off-site materials.
• Coordinates construction activities: strategizes with Superintendent, conducts pre-con meetings, maintains logs, participates in schedule updates, quality inspections, safety compliance, site meetings.
• Facilitates project administration: expedites subcontractor/vendor agreements, assists with insurance/bonds, prepares agendas/minutes, maintains files, processes progress photos, manages RFIs.
• Tracks project costs: processes pay requests, tracks owner payments, back charges, updates labor cost reports.
• Supports change order process: creates change requests, reviews scope changes, assesses schedule impacts, negotiates costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
