Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking an Electrical Apprentice 3, Solar in Florida. You will shadow electricians, learn to read blueprints, diagnose and repair electrical systems, and assist with installing new electrical systems.

You will support journeymen in planning, layout, and testing of wiring, fixtures, motors, and control systems in accordance with plans and industry standards. Join a safety-first team and grow your skills through hands-on training, mentoring, and on-the-job

Qualifications

• NCCER certifications or equivalent craft training required.
• Experience as an electrical helper or apprentice preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman electrician and follow instructions.
• Use basic hand and power tools to support electrical work.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses and light fixtures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and material inventories for crew.
• Assist in planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of wiring and equipment.
• Participate in safety programs and follow site safety rules.
