Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks a Laborer Apprentice 3 (Solar) to assemble, install, and maintain PV systems on varied terrains. You’ll read plans, use hand and power tools, and work with a safety-focused crew to deliver projects on time.

Minimum qualifications include 1–1.5 years of labor experience and NCCER-certified trainings. This is a physically demanding, safety-sensitive role with long shifts on construction sites.

Qualifications

• 1–1.5 years’ experience as laborer or 2001–3000 hours in construction craft as a helper.
• Must understand assembly, installation or maintenance of PV systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to install PV systems per plans and instructions.
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules and support structures.
• Lift and move materials; keep work areas clean and safe.
• Participate in safety programs and report hazards promptly.
• Read plans and specifications; assist journeymen with layout and tasks.
