Job summary

GreenSpark Solar is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join the installation team in the Rochester area. You will work alongside experienced electricians and solar experts to learn, perform basic electrical tasks, and contribute to residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The program includes hands-on training with classroom components, with GreenSpark bearing most educational costs and providing a path toward journeyperson certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic electrical principles and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a structured program.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems.
• Learn to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for correct installation.
• Run wiring, conduits, and install fixtures in various settings.
• Follow safety protocols and report concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain tools and report hours and materials used on site.
• Support troubleshooting and basic repairs under supervision.
• Complete required training to progress toward journeyperson certification.
