Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an electrician helper to shadow a journeyman and assist with wiring, installations, and system testing on a construction site in Florida. You will learn to read plans, diagnose electrical issues, and support repair and installation activities in accordance with plans and industry standards.

As an entry-level craft position, you will develop hands-on skills with hand and power tools, participate in safety programs, and contribute to quality, on-time project execution

Qualifications

2001-4000 hours (1-2 years) of experience working as an electrician and basic knowledge of the electrical craft.
Must have all necessary licenses for the jurisdiction in which the work is to be performed.
Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions.
Learn to use hand and power tools to assist electrician in performing duties, including measuring, cutting, bending wire and conduit; drill holes and pull wiring.
Perform minor repairs and maintain tools and equipment; help in loading materials and keeping supplies organized.
Participate in safety processes and report hazards; support coordination with other crafts.
