Job summary

LPL Solar LLC is seeking a Drone Pilot / Surveyor to perform aerial data collection, mapping, surveying support, and construction documentation across utility-scale solar EPC projects. The role requires operating UAS, collecting imagery, and producing deliverables for engineering, estimating, and construction.

The candidate will work within a fast-paced EPC environment, supporting projects from existing-condition surveys through earthwork and installation, with extensive travel to active sites

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
• Experience operating drones for surveying, mapping, or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, grading plans, site layouts, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct UAS flight operations across large solar sites per FAA rules and project requirements.
• Collect high-resolution aerial imagery and survey data for mapping and construction documentation.
• Produce Ortho mosaics, DTMs/DSMs, and point clouds from photogrammetry and mapping.
• Support site surveying using GPS/GNSS, RTK, and robotic total stations as needed.
• Maintain survey control and assist with grading, pile locations, and electrical infrastructure surveys.
