Job summary

Air Pixels is seeking a Drone Pilot / Surveyor to collect aerial data, map sites, and support construction documentation for utility-scale solar EPC projects. You will use UAS, survey gear, and mapping software to deliver accurate field data across multiple sites.

The role requires strong UAS flight capabilities, surveying knowledge, and the ability to travel extensively to active project sites. FAA Part 107 certification and driving capability are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
  • Experience operating drones/UAS for surveying, mapping, construction.
  • Ability to read civil plans and interpret design drawings.
  • Experience with photogrammetry and mapping workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct UAS flight operations on large solar sites.
  • Collect high-resolution aerial imagery for mapping and surveying.
  • Produce orthomosaics, DTMs/DSMs, and point clouds.
  • Support field surveying with GPS/GNSS, RTK, and total stations.
  • Maintain survey control and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to determine data requirements.
