Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required
• Experience operating drones/UAS for surveying, mapping, engineering or construction
• Knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, elevations, benchmarks, and construction layout
• Experience with aerial imagery for photogrammetry and mapping
• Experience with GPS/GNSS and RTK survey equipment
• Ability to read civil plans, grading plans, site layouts, construction drawings, and specifications
• Ability to travel extensively and work in large outdoor sites

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct UAS flight operations across solar sites in compliance with FAA rules
• Collect high-resolution aerial imagery and survey data for mapping and construction documents
• Perform photogrammetry and mapping to create Ortho mosaics, DTMs, DSMs, and point clouds
• Support site surveying using GPS/GNSS, RTK, and robotic total stations
• Maintain survey control and verify construction layout across projects
• Coordinate with project teams to determine data requirements and deliverables
• Process drone imagery and survey data using photogrammetry, CAD, GIS software
• Maintain flight logs, field notes, and project documentation
