Job summary

AES is seeking a seasoned Solar Technician for the Lancaster, CA area. The role focuses on maintaining PV O&M operations, electrical troubleshooting, and safety compliance.

You will lead field personnel, build training capabilities, and contribute to AES CE’s growth as a leading IPP in the industry. The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications, 3+ years in PV O&M solar tech, and 5+ years in power plants with PV O&M or construction experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications.
• Three or more years’ experience as a PV O&M solar technician.
• Five or more years in a power plant with PV O&M or construction experience.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical fundamentals and control devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on EPC inverters, batteries, and related equipment.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, insulation testing, and equipment diagnostics.
• Ensure work follows environmental and safety requirements; operate independently or in crews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a geographically diverse setting.
