Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solar & BESS Technician II to support operations and maintenance of Solar and Energy Storage facilities. You will perform electrical and mechanical tasks, follow LOTO and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

The role requires hands-on skills, familiarity with SCADA/maintenance systems, and ability to travel as needed. A strong work ethic and teamwork across a diverse organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications preferred.
• PV O&M technician: 3 years of experience; power plant experience: 5+ years.
• PV or BESS installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform/assist with O&M activities for Solar and Energy Storage projects.
• Maintain electrical & instrumentation systems and perform troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and JSA/Permits.
• Operate solar and BESS facilities in compliance with standards.
• Travel up to 3 hours daily; occasional overnight travel.
