Collins Aerospace in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced software transformation leader to define and execute a multi-year program aligning interiors software with enterprise DevSecOps goals.

You will guide cross-team migrations to modern toolchains, ensure DO-178B/C compliance, mentor engineers, and partner with QA, IT, and certification groups to sustain productivity and quality across programs.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 12+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 10+ years.
• Experience leading cross-team process/tool transformations including SCM and CI/CD migrations.
• Hands-on with Git-based workflows and DevOps toolchains (GitLab, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines).
• Ability to influence and lead without direct authority in complex environments.
• Strong communication translating technical concepts to business impact.

Responsibilities

• Define a clear software development vision aligned with enterprise initiatives.
• Assess tools, processes, and practices across software groups and identify gaps.
• Develop a multi-year transformation roadmap to standardize development.
• Lead migration from legacy build environments to the new toolchain.
• Plan migrations to minimize disruption and support parallel operation.
• Collaborate with QA and Certification teams to ensure DO-178B/C compliance.
• Serve as technical liaison between interiors software teams and IT initiatives.
• Support capability development and training for engineers.
• Create onboarding materials to enable sustainable adoption.
