Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a senior software transformation leader in Winston-Salem (ON-SITE) to define and drive a multi-year modernization of software processes across product lines.

The role requires extensive experience with DO-178B/DO-178C, Git-based workflows, and DevOps toolchains, guiding teams through migrations while maintaining delivery and quality. You will partner with QA, DER/ODA, and IT to ensure compliant lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 12+ years experience or an advanced degree with 10+ years experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team or cross-organizational transformations including SCM/CI/CD migrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git-based workflows and common DevOps toolchains.
• Strong communication to translate technical concepts into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Define a clear software development vision aligned with enterprise goals.
• Lead modernization and standardization of software development practices across product lines.
• Plan migrations and upgrades to minimize disruption and enable parallel operation.
• Collaborate with QA and Certification teams to ensure DO-178B/DO-178C compliance.
• Serve as technical liaison between Interiors software teams and IT initiatives.
