Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a ~15-person team responsible for Cargo Systems software across multiple aircraft platforms. The role is onsite in Winston-Salem, Lenexa, or Jamestown, with responsibilities spanning development, verification, and sustainment.

You will provide technical oversight for DO-178C/ARP4754A certification, promote Agile practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous process improvement to deliver high-quality software for

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with extensive software experience.
• 10+ years in software or systems engineering.
• DO-178B/C and ARP4754A certification experience.
• Experience leading software teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of ~15 software engineers.
• Offer technical oversight for DO-178C software deployed across aircraft platforms.
• Manage day-to-day engineering activities and ensure on-time delivery of builds/releases.
• Collaborate with Systems, Test, Program Management, Platform teams and PMs.
• Lead engineering cost estimates for new pursuits and contribute to proposals.
• Coach engineers and act as liaison between engineering and customers.
