For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineering Manager (REMOTE) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will lead an engineering team responsible for delivering scalable software solutions that support business priorities in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment. The manager will partner closely with Product and Design to shape an ambitious roadmap, remove delivery blockers, and drive execution with clear goals and data-driven visibility. The position also plays a key role in technical leadership, talent development, and cross‑functional communication with executives and stakeholders.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $144,000 – $235,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within the engineering organization
• Build and lead teams to deliver software while adhering to best practices
• Clarify technical requirements and manage projects to ensure timely delivery
• Clear or upscale blockers to accelerate delivery progress
• Collaborate with Product and Design partners to create an ambitious roadmap
• Drive team execution by setting clear objectives and using data for transparency
• Provide updates on KPIs and project status to executives and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to simplify, optimize, or extend solutions

• Willingness to travel for conferences, meetings, and team‑building activities

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing an engineering team
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault‑tolerant systems
• Knowledge of diverse design approaches and architecture deconstruction
• Ability to scope projects with targeted dates to meet business needs
• Skilled in negotiating essential features with Product Management
• Effective communicator of complex technical subjects to varied audiences
• Familiarity with Agile software delivery and SCRUM methodology
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Solid report writing skills with logical structuring of information
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Team‑first mentality with a focus on collaboration
