CVS Health is seeking a Software Engineer for Workforce Insights to build and operate Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations. You will partner with data and HR specialists to translate requirements into maintainable code, tests, and releases. Deep domain knowledge is built with support from experienced teammates.

The role emphasizes analytics, governance, security and CI/CD practices within a cloud-based data stack including BigQuery and Superset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professional software development experience.
• 3+ years Python or equivalent language with tests.
• 3+ years building or integrating APIs, data workflows, or production systems.
• 3+ years cross-domain work across application code, data, and tooling.
• 2+ years SQL in BigQuery with advanced features.
• 2+ years Kimball dimensional modeling concepts.
• 2+ years Airflow/Cloud Composer for ETL and automation.
• 2+ years cloud data platforms (GCP) and security concepts.
• 1+ year experience with a BI layer (Superset/Looker/Power BI).
• 1+ year Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain features across Python, SQL, and workflow code.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks; collaborate with data engineers and HR partners.
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests for logic, data contracts, and integrations.
• Build and maintain BigQuery transformations and data models for the product.
