Technology Resource Experts, LLC is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, with emphasis on scalable solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality software.

The role requires strong Python skills, SDLC/Agile familiarity, and contribution to cloud transition efforts. This on-site position at Fort Meade, MD offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with MD polygraph is required; last poly within 7 years.
• BS plus 7 years of experience is required.
• Solid experience in Python is required.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or Go.
• Understand SDLC and Agile environments.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Familiar with SQL/NoSQL databases and networking basics.
• A proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable software applications.
• Analyze complex technical issues and perform deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Fix bugs and resolve defects, including escalated Level 1 tickets.
• Write clean, well-documented code following coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and disseminate knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver features.
• Provide technical guidance to junior teammates and support cloud transition efforts.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
