Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer SME to join the Chinook program supporting the Intelligence Community. You will be a hands-on technical leader designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical applications and services.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and drive DevSecOps practices across cloud-enabled environments. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for the role.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 10–13 years.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical SME and advisor for Chinook mission applications.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications and backend services.
• Develop scalable, secure software across front-end and back-end tiers.
• Provide technical leadership in software design, coding standards, and reviews.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and data services.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and CI/CD processes.
