Job summary

enGen is seeking a software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable applications across digital channels. You will take an architectural view and execute products using the best-fit tech stack, participating in all stages from ideas to production.

The role requires 1 year in algorithm design, one programming language, and REST/JSON experience, with 3+ years in multiple languages and cloud tech. Collaboration and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or closely related field.
• 1 year of design/analysis of algorithms and scalable systems.
• 1 year in at least one modern language (Java/Python/JS) with web tech exposure.
• 1 year understanding of REST/HTTPS/JSON.
• 3+ years with one or more major languages (Java, Python, JS, C/C++, Go) and cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications; write code to standards; perform code reviews.
• Generate ideas, explore tech solutions, and monitor progress to meet features and performance goals.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies; assist sprint planning; report blockers to Scrum Master.
• Create tasks for stories (RTC/Jira) and update status.
• Monitor production schedule; provide progress updates and escalate issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
