Job summary

Leidos in Reston, VA, seeks a Software Engineer II to support the DOJ/OJP OCIO, delivering secure, reliable digital products and services. You will enhance software, fix defects, and strengthen automated testing under guidance from senior engineers in an Agile DevSecOps environment.

You will develop APIs, integrations, and automated tests, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and coordinate with DIAMD for IAM integrations, ensuring compliance and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise or web applications across layers.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and automated testing.
• Experience in Agile environments and iterative planning.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and authentication concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud platforms, containers, or IaC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, debug, and maintain software components for OJP digital products and APIs.
• Provide software improvements via enhancements, defect fixes, and debt reduction.
• Translate user stories and requirements into working software using Agile practices.
• Create and maintain automated tests to improve release quality.
• Participate in Git-based workflows, code reviews, and PRs.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and secure deployment processes.
• Develop, test, and maintain APIs and web services in OJP environments.
• Support DIAMD integrations including Okta and SailPoint with SCIM/OAuth/SAML.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant solutions.
• Document technical details, SOPs, and implementation notes.
